Gilding paste

I have seen alot of people use coloured gilding paste on candles etc..

I have read that you can make it with eyeshadow and hair gel, i really want to make some as it looks great on candles, does anyone have any tips? :)

Re: Gilding paste
Use a hairgel that had lots of big bubbles in the bottle. That means its strong! Look for things like super hold, athletic hold... that kind of thing. Eyeshadows are a good start, but to get more shimmer, you may want to buy some straight mica powders. This kind of thing is available at Mehandi.com. These are more vibrant because they don't have the kind of fillers that are necessary in make up to make it go on smooth and keep it in place. I suggest about 4 parts gel to 1 part eyeshadow or mica.
