Woad, the actual plant

The gardening organization I belong to put out a call for some "heirloom" plants.

Woad was one of them.  Does anyone have a link to a place that sells the seeds or plants?

The gardens are period correct from the 18 century and they want actual plants that would

have been there at  the time....Thanks!

Have you tried surfing the net to find out where you could either buy seeds or the plant?

No, I'm sure they can do that if they want to, I just thought someone might

be able to put their finger right on it....

Hi Donna

You can buy woad seeds at www.wildcolours.co.uk/html/dye_seeds.html, as well as other heirloom dye plant seeds.

We also sell weld, madder, dyer's chamomile and japanese indigo.

Best wishes

Mike
