Does the type of henna matter when two-stepping?

I am currently using Moroccan but was wondering if switching over to Yemeni, or any other type, would make a difference when I am two stepping with indigo to black.

I dont think so, but if you are covering gray its probably best to get the highest dye content henna you can get ahold of and remember to mix it with something slightly acidic. The stronger and better the henna binds to your hair, the better it is for the indigo.

Thank you ACWN, I was hoping you'd reply :)

I do mix my henna with amla, for the acidic part and to try and save some waves. I could probably switch over to roots only now, it's fairly black, I was just concerned about getting a really different color if I switched henna types. I've not that much grey yet, and am just darkening my naturally dark brunette color.

I'm headed for waist from above shoulder and am going for the healthiest way I can.

I agree, and I don't think it matters what kind as long as you get a good solid base of henna in the hair for that first step. Using amla as you are is very good too :)
