Transfer paper disaster/why do I have a purple design?

Used a transfer to do a pattern on my upper chest as I knew I'd be pretty hopeless drawing backwards in the mirror.  Used gel deoderant to apply.  Applied henna over, dried and then taped and kept it warm overnight (10 hours).  I have a bright purple design with just faint henna showing.  A different design I put elsewhere with the same cone without the transfer appears much darker, but it could just be that the purple is not overwhelming the henna.

Ideas on what I did wrong here?  Is there a way to remove the purple without removing the henna?

My guess is that nothing really went wrong! I think the transfer purpleness will go away as the henna darkens. I think its just louder now than the henna and that will change. On other parts where the henna shows better color right away, this wouldn't be as noticeable.
