Covering gray

I'm new to this site. It's both helpful and SCARY at the same time. I'm about to try henna for the first time. My temples and the outline surrounding my face is gray, with gray intermingled throughout the rest of my hair. Some places have slim patches of gray. I do not want red or orange hair, but would love a rich brown. Some auburn highlights would be be nice, too. I've read several posts already about covering gray, but I've diving in. Wish me luck and stay tuned. I'll need support and advice, I'm sure!

Re: Covering gray

If you want brown, your mix needs to include at least 50% indigo along with the henna. Henna alone will be orange to auburn on your grays.
