Traditional dance and altered bodies
Bellydance is hot! And sensual. And feminine. And at least in West - it's not about sexuality, it's about art.
I won't link here any clips as you can google Bellydance Superstars or whatever and go to visite a nice show.
Here is something you probably won't meet (unless you go to Egipt, Cairo for example, take a cheeper boat-cruise and have a dinner with dancer).
How it is to be a bellydancer in traditional culture?
Not a high-class-one. Not the one who travels between Egypt and West and works mostly either with western people or at local festival scene.
To be an ordinary entertainer., in Egypt.

Dancer on 22.30 has probably 'black henna' on her shoulder. On 23 - there is something fading on her hand visible, too.
