Will henna dry out my hair?
Hello, I have very wavey thick and usually pretty soft hair already will henna keep that up or will it dry out my hair? Thanks Chaya

I think I covered that in my reply to your first post, however, I will repeat. Its typically the acid itself (usually lemon juice) that can cause the hair to dry out as well as lack of proper washing once you rinse the paste out. Henna residue can leave the hair feeling dry and crunchy.

Pure henna, when mixed with a more mild acid, applied and washed out correctly, is actually known for making hair soft, shiny and strong. The only thing I can see that it would cause "negatively" to your hair is relaxing your wave.
