Washing hair after Henna treatment

In the instructions it says that after a Henna treatment one should not "wash" hair for 2 to 3 days so it can oxidize. Does this mean not to wet hair at all or simply not to shampoo hair for 2 to 3 days?

Why doesn't anyone ever respond to my questions?

Try to keep it dry

The instructions mean to try not to wet the hair for a couple of days.  I have been dying my hair with henna for many years and have acheived my desired shade, so when I do touch-ups I rinse the henna out, then shampoo normally.  Not washing the hair after henna is most important when you first start coloring your hair with henna, and less so after you've done it a few times, unless you have stubborn greys that need a little more TLC.

You can wash hair right away

You can wash hair right away after using henna.  It is not necessary to wait.

I always henna my hair either

I always henna my hair either on Sunday or before work during the week. I wash it out with shampoo. I shampoo the next day and every day. I don't have issues with henna washing out. Then again I'm pretty diligent about putting it in :-)
