Hello!
Did a full application of Punjabi last week over previously lightened chemical red. It turned out nicely, and the 3/4 in or so of virgin root did take some red. But the roots are too dark, so I'd like to lighten them up to match the rest.
My virgin hair is a mousy brown and I dont really want to darken up the rest of the hair to match that level. So I'm wondering should I...
- Chemically lighten just the roots and try to match the current henna...
- Chemically lighten to maybe one level lighter than the rest, then henna the roots?
What do you all you ladies who lighten before you henna do? Any tips? How do you avoid overlap? what if I just tried to match the roots checmically then do a little henna glaze all over to help it match up?
Thanks!
Hey ACWN can you share a bit more about your root lightening recipe and procedure? How many levels do you lift, what proportions do you mix, how long do you leave it on? And then what's your henna recipe? Do you have pics?
LOL sorry if it feels like I'm giving you the 3rd, degree, your technique intrigues me tho :)
